New Musical by Players alum Justin Paul to play Goodspeed Opera House

Come support Justin Paul, Staples Class of 2003 and an active member of Players, as his new musical makes its debut at the Goodspeed Opera House in Chester, CT. Paul, along with writing partner Benj Pasek, has written a musical adaptation of the children’s classic “James and the Giant Peach” by Roald Dahl.

In addition to music and lyrics by Pasek and Paul, the production will feature the talents of the incredible dance troupe Pilobolus. Since this show is still in its developmental stage, the production will focus more on great storytelling and less on fancy sets and costumes. Still, we are expecting a fantastic show worth checking out!

The show runs October 21st – November 21st at the Norma Terris Theatre in Chester – the theatre is on the smallish side, so get your tickets now!

Not sure who Pilobolus is? You might remember them from their amazing performance on the Oscars a few years back:

  1. Thanks for the post, Staples Players! Any thinking of going should be sure to check out the “Special Events” calendar at the Goodspeed site for discounts, freebies, and talk back dates! It should be fun for students and their families to see this in its developmental phase as it (hopefully) morphs into a show with legs to carry it beyond this initial run!
